North Miami TJ Maxx Store Allegedly Targeted by Man Accused of Molesting 13-Year-Old

Matthew Duchatelier, a resident of North Miami, was taken into custody on Friday. He faces a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation involving a child aged between 12 and 16 years old, as stated in an arrest report.

The North Miami police reported that the incident took place on the morning of October 12 at the T.J. Maxx store situated at 12163 Biscayne Blvd.

The arrest report reveals that surveillance footage captures Duchatelier walking past the victim, who was browsing the toy section of the store, and discreetly pinching her right breast.

According to the arrest report, the individual promptly left the store and made a quick getaway in a light-colored Toyota Corolla.

According to the police, the victim gave detectives a sworn statement, which was supported by the surveillance video evidence.

On Friday, Duchatelier was apprehended by officers when they noticed him in the parking lot of a Burger King located on Biscayne Boulevard.

In the arrest report, Duchatelier initially denied all allegations against him, but later stated that he could not remember anything.

According to the police, he made another comment that was removed from the public report, but he continued to deny pinching the victim’s breast.

Duchatelier is currently detained at the Metrowest Detention Center on a $30,000 bond, according to the latest update on Monday afternoon.
