Northbound lanes of I-95 closed due to fatal accident

Authorities have reported that a tragic accident on Friday morning resulted in the loss of a woman’s life and injuries to several others. The crash was severe enough to cause the closure of Interstate 95.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a blue Dodge SUV traveling north on I-95 near NW 119th Street lost control and collided with a concrete barrier wall around 2:20 a.m.

The Dodge became disabled and blocked the road, according to FHP.

Miami Dade Fire Rescue initially reported that four cars were involved in the incident. Additionally, the fire department mentioned that there were five patients, although it remains unclear whether the deceased victim was included in that count.

Motorists were redirected off at NW 103rd Street as lanes came to a halt, but they reopened at approximately 6:30 a.m.

Drivers had the option to take alternative routes like U.S. 441, U.S. 1, and NW 22nd Avenue.
