Man Charged in Redland Nursery Double Murder Admits He ‘Wanted to Execute Them,’ Police Say

A Miami man is currently facing murder charges after allegedly shooting and killing two men at a Redland plant nursery on Sunday evening.

Eric Jose Garcia, aged 35, has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder in connection with a shooting incident at the nursery located at 21495 Southwest 240th Street, according to an arrest report.

Officers were called to the property around 5 p.m. where they encountered Garcia. Garcia informed the officers that he had shot and killed two individuals.

Fatal-shooting-in-Miami-

While driving his pickup truck on the property’s dirt road, Garcia encountered Galdamez Menjivar’s truck, which was obstructing the path.

According to Garcia’s statement to investigators, he had requested Galdamez Menjivar to relocate the truck, but the victim declined.

According to Garcia, both victims came up to his truck while holding beer bottles. He stated that Miguel Menjivar struck his truck’s hood with one of the bottles.

According to the report, an eyewitness observed the entire incident as it unfolded.

Garcia was taken into custody and placed in jail, where he is currently being held without bond as of Monday, according to records. Unfortunately, there is no available information regarding his attorney.
