Duo from Nashville apprehended in Miami Beach for jewelry theft

On Sunday, authorities in Miami Beach successfully tracked down a man and woman who were wanted in connection to an armed robbery of a jewelry store in Nashville, Tennessee. The robbery involved a staggering amount of $1.7 million.

Miami Beach Police and the Metro Nashville Police Department have collaborated to apprehend two suspects, namely Milleni Garcia, 38, and Orlando Valdes Hernandez, 34. The arrest was made in connection with an armed robbery that involved a staggering amount of over $1.7 million worth of gold and jewelry.

Surveillance footage captured the moment when the pair, along with another individual, entered a jewelry store in Nashville. Seemingly browsing the store for a short period, they quickly revealed their firearms and proceeded to intimidate the employees. Without wasting any time, they made off with a significant haul of valuable items before fleeing the scene.

Officers apprehended Garcia and Hernandez at the Grand Beach Hotel on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach.

“I am proud of the dedication and perseverance demonstrated by my detectives and partners at the Metro Nashville Police Department in apprehending these dangerous criminals,” Chief Wayne Jones expressed.

According to authorities, Garcia and Hernandez are currently in the process of extradition.

According to the police, they are currently in search of a third suspect believed to be involved in the robbery.
