Bakersfield police say a murder-suicide in southwest Bakersfield early Sunday morning claimed the lives of two women.
Around three in the morning, detectives were called to a house in the 7500 block of Lordsburg Drive, just east of Gosford Road, to inquire about the well-being of a resident.
Two adult women were discovered deceased inside the house when detectives arrived. The BPD’s first investigation suggests that the occurrence was a murder-suicide.
The identity of the two women will be made public later by the coroner’s office. The inquiry is still in progress. The BPD is asking anyone with knowledge about the event to contact them at 661-327-7111.
